Arnold Police are investigating the theft of an ATV from outside a home in the 2000 block of Judy Drive. Surveillance video from a neighbor’s Ring doorbell camera showed the green 2007 Arctic Cat 650 ATV being driven away from a the home, Arnold Police reported.

The alleged theft happened at about 4:10 a.m. July 9. The ATV belonged to a 62-year-old man, the report said.

A neighbor said she was awakened by the engine noise and saw her neighbor’s ATV being driven away from where it had been parked outside his home. Officers found tracks from the ATV’s wet tires that went east on Judy Drive and then north on West Outer Road, according to the report.

The man who owns the ATV said the keys to the Arctic Cat were still in his locked truck. The ATV, which has front and rear luggage racks, is worth about $3,500, Arnold Police reported.

The neighbor’s surveillance video also showed a white pickup with no license plates being driven down the street shortly before the ATV was stolen. Officers found the pickup on Redwood Drive, which is north of Judy Drive and off the West Outer Road, the report said.

Officers talked with two people at a home near where the pickup was found, and they denied any involvement with the ATV theft. Officers searched the home’s garage and shed, and they did not find the ATV, according to the report.

As of July 15, the ATV had not been recovered, and no suspects had been identified, Detective Lt. Jason Valentine said. Anyone with information about the incident should call Arnold Police at 636-296-3204.
