A 43-year-old Arnold woman was arrested for allegedly stealing from two Arnold stores – the Famous Footwear store, 1215 Water Tower Place, in Arnold, and Kohl’s, 2150 Michigan Ave. Both thefts occurred Sept. 1, Arnold Police report.
At 3:35 p.m., Arnold Police were called to Famous Footwear after the woman allegedly stole shoes worth about $25. While she was being taken into custody, the woman allegedly kicked an officer, the report said.
She was transported to the Arnold Jail and while she was in custody there, Arnold Police got a report from the Kohl’s store that earlier in the day, a woman had stolen more than $700 in merchandise there, and police identified the same woman as the suspect in that case, according to the report.
The woman already was wanted in Festus on an outstanding warrant for stealing, Detective Lt. James Jones said.
The woman was issued summonses to appear in Arnold Municipal Court for stealing and assault on a police officer and then was turned over to Festus Police, Jones said.
