Arnold Police are investigating burglaries at two homes in the 3200 block of Bayshore Parkway. The burglaries occurred between 7:30 a.m. and 6:50 p.m. Jan. 5, according to police reports.
At one of the homes, a suspect broke glass in a back door to get inside the home and stole a credit card. There was no estimate for the damage, and the credit card was canceled before it could be used, Detective Lt. James Jones said.
At the other home, a suspect forced entry through the front door, causing $1,000 worth of damage. The culprit also stole a .22-caliber Marlin rifle, $350 in cash and a drill set. The stolen items were valued at $860, a report said.
A neighbor’s surveillance camera captured footage of a person wearing a hooded sweatshirt in the area at the time of the burglaries. As of Friday (Jan. 12), however, no suspect had been identified, and the stolen items had not been recovered, Jones said.
He said police believe the two burglaries are connected. Anyone with information about the burglaries is asked to call Arnold Police at 636-296-3204.
