Arnold Police have identified at 28-year-old St. Louis woman as a suspect in the theft of 13 Fitbit Atlas devices, slim heart rate trackers, from the Kohl’s store, 2150 Michigan Ave., in Arnold. The Fitbits are valued at $1,949.87, police reported.

Police are determining if a second woman was involved in the alleged theft, Detective Lt. James Jones said.

A store employee called police at about 6 p.m. Nov. 21 about a shoplifting in progress. When police arrived, two females got into a 2017 black Toyota Camry and fled the parking lot, the report said.

The Camry fled the city limits by traveling north on Jeffco Boulevard into St. Louis County, and the police ended the pursuit when the speed and circumstances became too dangerous, Jones said. The two women’s identities were tracked down through the car, which was found in north St. Louis County.

Jones said police have listed the 28-year-old woman as wanted and will seek a warrant for stealing in the second degree. As of Wednesday (Nov. 29), the woman had not been located and none of the Fitbits had been recovered, Jones said.
