A 25-year-old St. Louis man was arrested at Arnold City Park on Bradley Beach Road after he reportedly yelled at and challenged to fight other people, including officers who were called to the scene. The incident happened about 5:45 p.m. May 5, Arnold Police reported.
A 27-year-old St. Louis woman who was with the man called police and told them he seemed intoxicated and was challenging people to fight him. She told officers she had tried to get him to leave with her, but he refused, the report said.
When police arrived, the man allegedly challenged them to fight several times before he was arrested. At the Police Station, he initially refused to be booked and was placed in a jail cell, according to the report.
Once he was sober, he said he didn’t remember doing anything in the park. He was booked and released pending application for warrants, the report said.
Arnold Police will seek charges against the man through Arnold Municipal Court for disorderly conduct and failure to comply with a police officer, Capt. Rich Shular said.
