Arnold Police arrested a 34-year-old Hazelwood man for suspicion of driving while intoxicated following a two-vehicle accident on I-55 near the Hwy. 141 exit. Officers learned the man was driving with a revoked license, police reported.
At about 1 p.m. Feb. 4, the man was driving a 2013 Chevrolet Silverado south on the interstate when he hit a 2010 Ford F-150, which was being driven by a 69-year-old De Soto man, the report said.
No one was injured in the accident, but both pickups were damaged. However, only the Silverado was towed, according to the report.
The man driving the Silverado allegedly appeared to be impaired by drug use. However, the man refused to submit to a blood sample to determine if he was under the influence of an illegal substance, the report said.
The man was taken to the Police Station, where he was booked and released to a sober driver, according to the report.
The man was issued summons to appear in Arnold Municipal Court for alleged DWI and driving with a revoked license, Detective Lt. Jeremy Christopher said.
