An 18-year-old Bismarck man was arrested in Arnold after he allegedly was found with a significant amount of marijuana. He was arrested at about 2:45 p.m. March 12 after he was pulled over on Old Lemay Ferry Road near Hwy. 141 for allegedly failing to signal, Arnold Police reported.
The officer allegedly detected the smell of marijuana after approaching the suspect’s 1993 Dodge Caravan minivan. So, the officer searched the van and allegedly found a backpack that contained two glass jars and a large plastic bag with approximately 102 grams of a substance believed to be marijuana inside it, the report said.
The man was arrested and taken to the Police Station, where he was booked and later released pending application for warrants. Depending on the drug analysis, Arnold Police will seek charges against the man through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for possession of a controlled substance, Lt. Clinton Wooldridge said.
