A 50-year-old Arnold man and 45-year-old Imperial man allegedly attacked each other outside the Phillips 66 gas station, 3910 Jeffco Blvd., in Arnold. One of the men was injured in the attack and was transported by private convenance to seek treatment, Arnold Police reported.

At about 7:45 p.m. Aug. 18, the Arnold man allegedly attempted to hit the Imperial man with a 1994 Chevrolet Silverado. After missing the Imperial man, the Arnold man drove behind the gas station and ran into a pole, the report said.

The Imperial man then got a large, fixed blade pruning saw from a 2004 Chevrolet Colorado and went to the crashed pickup. He then allegedly used the saw to shatter the driver’s side window and rear window of the Silverado, according to the report.

The Imperial man also allegedly struck the Arnold man’s left hand with the saw, cutting one of the man’s fingers, the report said.

The Imperial man was arrested and taken to the Police Station, where he was booked and released pending the application of charges. The Arnold man was released to seek medical attention, according to the report.

The two men previously worked and lived with each other. Investigators said it is not known why the two allegedly attacked each other, the report said.

The approximate cost to replace the shattered windows was not available, according to the report.

Arnold Police will seek charges against the Imperial man through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for second-degree assault, armed criminal action and property damage, Detective Lt. Jeremey Christopher said.

He also said the Arnold Police will seek a charge against the Arnold man through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for second-degree assault.
