Tools and equipment worth about $12,000 recently were stolen from a construction site at Vogel Road near Vogel Circle in the Arnold area. The theft occurred between Dec. 21 and Dec. 27, while construction crews were off during the holidays, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reports.
It looked like someone cut a lock on a storage shed at the construction site and then stole the tools. Among the stolen tools was a Stihl chop saw, a Stihl chainsaw, a Ryobi cordless tool set, a Ryobi cordless impact drill, a 200-piece socket set, a Honda suitcase generator and a Huskey light set, the report said.
As of Monday (Jan. 9), the tools had not been recovered, and there were no suspects or arrests, Capt. Gary Higginbotham said. Anyone with information about the theft is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office tip line at 636-797-5515.
