Jefferson County resident and actor Bryan Clark, 33, is set next week to sign headshots and DVDs featuring the film, “Amityville Uprising,” a zombie horror film he’s in that will premiere Jan. 11 on streamng services, On Demand and DVD.
The signing is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 14, at the V-Stock store in the South County Center, 25 South County Center Way, in south St. Louis County.
Clark plays a morgue technician in the news film, the third movie in the series distributed by Lionsgate.
Clark said this will be his first signing event.
“I’m excited,” he said. “I’m nervous but looking forward to it.”
Clark lives in Crystal City now, but he grew up in High Ridge and attended Northwest R-1 schools through his sophomore year and then moved to Hillsboro and graduated from Hillsboro High School in 2006.
Then, he graduated in 2009 from Jefferson Community College with an associate degree in general education.
When he is not acting, Clark works as an administrative assistant at the Mercy-GoHealth Urgent Care facility in Festus.
Clark said he got into acting by sending his modeling photos to directors.
He said his first acting gig was playing the son of a scientist in “CobraGator,” a movie that was filmed in 2015 but wasn’t released until 2018.
Other movies he has been in include “A Doggone Christmas,” “A Doggone Hollywood,” “A Doggone Adventure,” “House of Pain” and “The Curse of Halloween Jack.”
Clark said he hopes to get a role in an action film soon. He said he hopes to eventually move to Los Angeles to further his acting career. He also said he is hopeful “Amityville Uprising” helps advance that career.
“I’m hoping for some sort of a break to get me out there,” he said.
