The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office said a 42-year-old Arnold woman was suspected of sending a threatening message to a Fox C-6 School District Board of Education member in January. However, the school member who was threatened does not want to press charges, so none will be sought against the suspect, said Grant Bissell, a Sheriff’s Office spokesman.

Neither Bissell nor Fox school officials would say which of the seven Fox school board members received the threat, although the Sheriff’s Office did say it was a female board member.

Bissell said the school board member did not indicate when the message was sent, although the board member told investigators the threat was sent via an online messaging service.

Bissell said the board member reported the incident to the Sheriff’s Office on Jan. 24.

The threatening message prompted the board to hold its Feb. 1 meeting virtually instead of at the Fox C-6 Service Center, 849 Jeffco Blvd., in Arnold.

The board held meetings on Feb. 15 and on Tuesday at the service center.
