A lawsuit against former Fox High School assistant principal Zach Brown and two people from Byrnes Mill has been dismissed, according to court records.
Two women, who were only identified as Jane Doe and Mary Doe , filed a lawsuit against Brown, Michael E. Discher, Linda B. Discher and the Fox C-6 School District on March 20. Fox also was dismissed from the lawsuit, court papers show.
In the lawsuit, the women claimed Brown groomed them for sexual activities while they were students. The lawsuit also alleged that the Dischers allowed the women to drink alcohol at a party despite one of them being too young at the time to legally drink alcohol.
The two women were seeking in excess of $25,000 each from Brown, the school district and the Dischers.
Brown resigned from the school district on March 28.
Fox officials said Brown started working in the district in August 2005 as a science teacher at Fox High. He was named the school’s athletic director in July 2017 and then assistant principal in July 2019.
Brown was being paid a $105,543.07 salary during the 2022-2023 school year, and district officials said he received a prorated salary through March 28.
