Two people were hurt Saturday morning when two motorcycles collided on I-55 in Imperial.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that Hal Kiah, 60, of Perryville was riding a 2006 Harley Davidson Ultra Glide Classic north on I-55 at 8:33 a.m. when, as he rode under the Main Street overpass, he struck the rear of a 2005 Harley Davidson Road King ridden by Lloyd Brewster, 60, of St. Mary’s. Brewster had slowed for traffic congestion. After impact, both vehicles turned over on their right sides.
Brewster was not hurt in the accident, but a passenger on his motorcycle, Robynne Duvall, 48, of Perryville, sustained moderate injuries, while Kiah had minor injuries. Both were taken by Rock Township Ambulance District to St. Anthony’s Medical Center in south St. Louis County, the report said.
Both were treated and released, a hospital spokeswoman said.
All involved in the accident were wearing helmets, the report said; Brewster’s motorcycle had moderate damage while Kiah’s had minor damage.
