Three people were hurt in a crash of two sport utility vehicles Saturday evening (Sept. 26) on Hwy. 141 south of Fiedler Lane in the Springdale area between Arnold and Fenton.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that Michael Ludwig, 41, of Fenton, was driving a 2001 Mitsubishi Montero north on Hwy. 141 at 10:30 p.m. and had stopped for a red light at Fiedler Lane. Also headed north on Hwy. 141 was Bailey Anderson, 18, of Barnhart, who driving a 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe and reportedly failed to keep a proper lookout and the Hyundai ran into the back of the Mitsubishi.
Ludwig suffered moderate injuries and a passenger in the Mitsubishi, Maria Torres, 48, of Fenton, sustained minor injuries. Both were taken by Rock Township Ambulance to SSM Health St. Clare Hospital in Fenton.
Anderson had minor injuries and she was taken by Rock Township Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County, the report said.
Updates on their conditions were not available.
All three involved in the accident were wearing seat belts, the report said. The Hyundai was totaled while the Mitsubishi had extensive damage.
