Rosalie K. Ems, 85, of Hillsboro was injured Friday afternoon, Aug. 18, in a two-vehicle accident on Tishomingo Road west of Vatterott Lane north of Hillsboro, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 2:15 p.m., Ems, in a southbound 2008 Chevrolet Impala, pulled onto Tishomingo Road from a driveway into the path of a westbound 1990 Dodge Ram 150 pickup driven by Russell A. Busch, 38, of Imperial, and the front of the pickup struck the front left side of the car, the report said.
No injuries were reported for Busch. However, Ems was moderately injured and taken by Valle Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County, according to the report.
Busch was not wearing a seat belt, and it’s unknown if Ems was wearing one, the patrol reported.
Both vehicles were totaled, the report said.
