A woman was taken to an area hospital after she crashed the car she was driving into a home in the 1900 block of Hillsboro Valley Park Road in High Ridge on May 22, High Ridge Fire Chief John Barton said.

Firefighters were dispatched to the crash at 12:15 p.m. and arrived at 12:22 p.m., he said.

Barton said the car went off the road and struck the front of the home, damaging a wall. The driver was conscious but not alert and was taken to an area hospital for treatment.

He said the woman had visible injuries from the crash but may have experienced a medical episode before the crash.

Barton said Monday, Juen 10, he did not know the woman’s age or where she lived.

He said at least two adults were in the house at the time of the crash but were not injured. The district’s fire marshal and Jefferson County Code Enforcement assessed the house and determined it was safe for occupancy.
