A Barnhart woman and a Festus woman were injured Thursday morning, Nov. 16, in a three-vehicle accident on I-55 north of Butler Hill Road in south St. Louis County, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 10:37 a.m., Kimberly J. Stackley, 45, of Festus was driving a northbound 2017 Dodge Durango and Nathaniel A. Joseph, 40, of St. Louis was driving a northbound 2018 Ford Transit when both vehicles slowed due to traffic. Natalie A. Sears, 30, of Barnhart, who was driving a northbound 2017 Chevrolet Impala, failed to stop in time and struck the rear of the Durango, pushing it into the Transit, the report said.
According to the report, Stackley was moderately injured and taken by the Mehlville Fire Protection District to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County, where she was treated and released, a hospital spokesman said.
Sears sustained minor injuries and was taken by private conveyance to SSM Health Urgent Care in Arnold. No information about her condition was available Friday, Nov. 18.
All drivers were wearing seat belts, and the vehicles were moderately damaged, the report said.
