A 35-year-old Manchester woman was seriously hurt at about noon Wednesday (March 20) in a one-car accident at the 181.4 mile marker on Hwy. 21 west of Arnold, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
Maricelia M. Hennessey fell asleep while driving a 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt north on Hwy. 21, and the car ran off the right side of the road and struck a rock bluff, the report said.
Hennessey was taken by Rock Township Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County, where she was treated and released, a hospital spokesman said.
She was not wearing a seat belt, the patrol reported.
The car was totaled, the report said.
