Dana J. Ramsey, 48, of Imperial was injured at about noon Monday (Oct. 11) in a two-vehicle accident on I-270 east of I-55 in St. Louis County, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
Ramsey was driving a 2014 Volkswagen Passat south on I-270 and traveled into the path of a southbound 2010 Nissan Murano, which then struck the side of the Passat, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
Frederick W. Kleinhams, 77, of Indianapolis, Ind., was driving the Murano. No injuries were reported for him.
However, Ramsey was moderately injured and taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County, where she was treated and released, a hospital spokesman said.
Both drivers were wearing seat belts, the patrol reported.
The Passat was totaled, and the Murano was extensively damaged, the report said.
