An Imperial man was hurt Monday morning (Nov. 18) in a two-vehicle traffic accident in Antonia.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that Jacob Hemmer, 28, of Imperial was driving a 2011 Mazda 6 east on Hwy. M east of Old Lemay Ferry Road at 5:50 a.m. when he hit the rear of a 2005 Sterling LT7500 truck driven by Cory Hoke, 28, of Bonne Terre.
Hemmer sustained moderate injuries and was taken by Rock Township Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County, the report said. The report made no mention of an injury to Hoke.
Hemmer was treated and released, a hospital spokesman said.
Hoke was wearing a seat belt but Hemmer was not, the report said. The Mazda was totaled and the truck had minor damage.
