A Hillsboro man and woman were injured Tuesday morning, March 8, in a two-car accident at Hwy. 141 and Springdale Road in the Jefferson County portion of Fenton, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 10:25 a.m., Leo H. Blair, 83, was driving a northbound 2018 Cadillac XTS and reportedly ran a red light, and the front of the car struck the front left side of a southbound 2017 Chevrolet Cruze driven by Samantha L. Schaper, 19, of Fenton, the report said.
No injuries were reported for Schaper.
Blair and a passenger in the Cadillac – Patty R. Blair, 80, of Hillsboro – were moderately injured and taken by Rock Township Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County.
The Blairs and Schaper were wearing seat belts, the patrol reported.
The Cruze was totaled and the Cadillac was extensively damaged, the report said.
