A Hillsboro man and a Robertsville man were seriously injured Friday night (Sept. 4) in a wreck involving two motorcycles at Old Hwy. 21 and Konert Road in the Meramec Heights area west of Arnold, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 11:45 p.m., Vincent S. Dilberto, 66, of Hillsboro was riding a northbound 1962 Harley-Davidson Panhead, and the left side of the motorcycle struck the right side of a northbound 2002 Harley-Davidson Sportster ridden by Curtis R. Milton, 42, of Robertsville. Both bikes fell over, and the two men were ejected, the report said.
Both men were taken by Rock Township Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County, according to the report.
Dilberto was wearing a helmet, and Milton was not wearing one, or at least not a Department of Transportation-approved helmet, the patrol reported.
The motorcycles were moderately damaged, the report said.
