A north St. Louis County man was seriously injured in a single-vehicle accident early Saturday (Sept. 25) on Hwy. 21 south of De Soto.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that John Engelmeyer, 71, of Florissant was driving a 2010 Honda Odyssey north on Hwy. 21 north of Briggs Drive at 5:15 a.m. when he drove off the right side of the road and the minivan hit a tree.
Engelmeyer sustained serious injuries and was taken by Valle Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County, the report said.
An update on his condition was not available.
Engelmeyer was wearing a seat belt, the report said; his vehicle was totaled.
