A Festus man and a Festus teenager were hurt Monday evening (Oct. 19) in a three-vehicle accident on Hwy. 67 south of I-55 south of Festus, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 5:51 p.m., David W. Taylor, 36, of Festus was driving a 2012 Ford Fiesta north on Hwy. 67, and the front of the car struck the rear of a northbound 2019 Chevrolet Suburban that had slowed for a crash ahead, and then the front of a northbound 1996 Ford F150 struck the rear of the Fiesta, the report said.
Michele M. Darden, 41, of Festus was driving the Suburban, and the 16-year-old girl from Festus was driving the Ford F150.
No injuries were reported for Darden.
However, Taylor was moderately injured, and the teen had minor injuries. Both were taken by Joachim-Plattin Ambulance to Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City, where Taylor was treated and released.
Since the 16-year-old is a juvenile, the highway patrol did not release her name, so no information about her condition was available.
All those involved in the accident were wearing seat belts, the patrol reported.
The Fiesta and Ford F150 were totaled, and the Suburban was moderately damaged, the report said.
