A Fenton woman was injured Monday evening, Dec. 19, in a two-vehicle accident at Hwy. 30 and La Kenny Lane in unincorporated Fenton, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 6:35 p.m., Aureliano Cruz Garcia, 38, of High Ridge was driving a westbound 2009 Chevrolet Express when the van malfunctioned and came to a stop in the right lane. In the meantime, Catherine T. Anderson, 31, of Fenton was headed west in a 2017 Nissan Altima and struck the rear of the van, the report said.
No injuries were reported for Garcia, but Anderson was moderately injured and taken by private conveyance to SSM Health St. Clare Hospital in Fenton, the report said.
An update on her condition was not available.
According to the report, Anderson was not wearing a seat belt and Cruz Garcia was wearing one.
The car was totaled, and the van was extensively damaged.
