A Dittmer woman and a Union man were seriously hurt early this morning (Aug. 24) in a one-car accident on Hwy. 30 east of Jones Creek Road in Dittmer, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 3 a.m., Jacob P. Garner, 36, of Union was driving a 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix west on Hwy. 30, where the car ran off the left side of the road, crossed Jones Creek Road and struck a tree, the report said.
Both Garner and a passenger in the car – Dawn M. Rogers, 40, of Dittmer – were taken by helicopter to Mercy Hospital St. Louis in Creve Coeur, according to the report.
The two were wearing seat belts, the patrol reported.
The car was totaled, the report said.
