A 42-year-old Cedar Hill man was arrested Thursday, June 1, for suspicion of driving while intoxicated after crashing a motorcycle at Cedar Hill and Wolf roads in Cedar Hill, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.

At 4:48 p.m., the Cedar Hill man was riding a northbound 2004 Honda VT750C on Cedar Hill Road when he lost control of the motorcycle, which ran off the right side of the road, overturning multiple times and ejecting the rider, the report said.

The man was seriously injured and taken by Big River Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County where he was listed in satisfactory condition today, June 2, a hospital spokesman said.

The man was arrested at 6:41 p.m. Thursday at the hospital for the alleged DWI, the report said.

According to the report, the Cedar Hill man was not wearing a helmet, or at least not a Department of Transportation-approved one.

The motorcycle was totaled, the report said.

The suspect’s name will not be published unless charges are filed against him, and as of today, none had been filed.
