An 8-year-old girl and a 46-year-old man, both from Fenton, and an Arnold infant were injured in a crash on Feb. 18 on Hwy. 141 at Springdale Boulevard in the Fenton area, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 4:18 p.m., Michael J. Butler, 46, of Fenton was driving a northbound 2003 Chevrolet S10 when he allegedly struck the rear of a 2020 Toyota Highlander, which was stopped due to traffic on northbound Hwy. 141. The Toyota was driven by Sead Avdic, 40, of Arnold, the report said.
Butler had minor injuries and the 8-year-old passenger was moderately injured. In addition, an Arnold juvenile younger than 1 in Avdic’s vehicle had minor injuries, the report said.
Butler, the two juveniles, and Amira Avdic, 36, of Arnold, a passenger in the Toyota who was reportedly uninjured, were taken by Rock Township Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County.
According to a hospital spokesman, Butler was treated and released.
The Highway Patrol does not release the names of juveniles.
Butler and the 8-year-old allegedly were not wearing seat belts, but Sead and Amira Avdic and the infant were, the report said.
