A Cedar Hill man was injured Wednesday afternoon, Aug. 16, in a two-vehicle accident on I-44 west of Hwy. 141 in St. Louis County, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 1:40 p.m., Brian A. Rickmann, 43, of Cedar Hill was driving an an eastbound 2018 International Workstar truck and stopped on the interstate with its emergency lights on when Joshua D. Kistner, 24, of Eureka, driving east in a 2003 Ford F350 pickup, failed to notice the stopped work truck and struck the rear of it, the report said.
No injuries were reported for Kistner. Rickmann, however, was moderately injured and taken by a Fenton Fire Protection District ambulance to SSM Health St. Clare Hospital in Fenton, the report said.
According to the report, both Rickmann and Kistner were wearing seat belts.
The pickup was totaled, and the work truck was moderately damaged, the report said.
