A Blackwell man died Thursday morning, March 3, in a one-vehicle accident on Hwy. 21 north of Lembeck Lake Road southwest of De Soto, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 6:27 a.m., James W. Pashea, 68, of Blackwell was driving a 2004 Toyota 4Runner north on the highway, crossed the center line and ran off the left side of the road, where the SUV struck a rock bluff and overturned, the report said.
He was pronounced dead at the scene by Valle Ambulance personnel, according to the report.
Pashea was not wearing a seat belt, the patrol reported.
The SUV was totaled, the report said.
