A Barnhart woman was injured in a two-vehicle crash on Old Hwy. 21 in Barnhart on Tuesday, June 4, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.

At 2:30 p.m., Cindy L. Morrow, 66, was driving a northbound 2017 Toyota Camry on the southbound shoulder of the road and began to make a U-turn in her driveway. A 2005 Ford Taurus, driven south by William J. Spikes, 54, of Barnhart, struck the left side of the Toyota, causing it to travel off the right side of the road, the report said.

Morrow was moderately injured and taken by Rock Township Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County, the report said.

According to a hospital spokesman, Morrow was treated and released.

Morrow was wearing a seat belt and Spikes was not, the Toyota was extensively damaged and the Ford had minor damage.
