Zachary P. Hampton, 33, of Barnhart was injured in a motorcycle accident Thursday evening, June 16, on Old Hwy. 21 north of Orchard Drive south of Otto, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 8:10 p.m., Hampton was riding a 2009 Honda VT750 south on the highway and lost control of the motorcycle, which overturned and slid off the right side of the road, the report said.
Hampton was moderately injured and taken by Rock Township Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County, where he was listed in satisfactory condition this afternoon, June 17, a hospital spokesperson said.
According to the report, Hampton was not wearing a helmet and the motorcycle had minor damage.
