Two Arnold residents were injured Wednesday, Sept. 4, in a four-vehicle crash on I-270 south of Tesson Ferry Road in south St. Louis County, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.

At 11 a.m. on northbound I-270, Jeri L. Farrell, 50, was driving a 2013 Chevrolet Cruze when the vehicle struck the rear of a 2017 Hyundai Elantra driven by Jacob M. Tessereau, 40, the report said. This caused the Hyundai to strike the rear of a 2021 Ford Transit driven by Salvador Silva, 57, of St. John, causing the Ford to strike the rear of a 2000 Honda CRV driven by Michael P. Wigand, 70, of St. Louis.

Farrell and Tessereau were moderately injured and taken by Mehlville Fire Protection District to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County, the report said.

According to a hospital spokesman, Farrell and Tessereau were treated and released.

All drivers were wearing seat belts, the Hyundai and Chevrolet were totaled, the Ford was extensively damaged, and the Honda had moderate damage, the report said.
