Robert C. Spurgeon, 29, of Arnold was seriously hurt Saturday morning (Aug. 8) in a one-car accident on Hwy. 221 near Buck Mountain Road in St. Francois County, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reports.
At 9:06 a.m., Spurgeon was driving a 2007 Ford Mustang south on Hwy. 221 and ran off the right side of the road, where the car struck a culvert and overturned, the report said.
Spurgeon was taken by ambulance to Parkland Health Center in Farmington.
He was not wearing a seat belt, the patrol reported.
The car was totaled, the report said.
