highway patrol patch

An Arnold man and a Farmington man were hurt in a two-vehicle accident Thursday afternoon (April 9) on Hwy. 141 and Springdale in the Jefferson County portion of Fenton, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reports.

At 3:02 p.m., Nicholas E. Zeisler, 25, of Arnold, headed south on Hwy. 141 in a 1999 GMC Sierra, fell asleep, and the pickup struck a southbound car that had stopped in the left-turn lane from 141 to Springdale, the report said.

After the collision, the pickup struck a concrete base on an electric signal, according to the report.

William L. Robinson, 51, of Farmington was driving the car, a 2006 Toyota Prius, the report said.

He was seriously injured, and Zeisler sustained moderate injuries, according to the report.

The two men were taken by Rock Township Ambulance to St. Anthony’s Medical Center in south St. Louis County, the patrol reported.

However, the hospital had no information about them, a hospital spokesman said.

Both men were wearing seat belts, the patrol reported.

The Sierra was totaled, and the Prius sustained extensive damage, the report said.
