Tools and fishing equipment worth about $6,000 were stolen from a garage in the 900 block of River Street in Imperial. The theft happened between about noon Sept. 5 and 8 p.m. Sept. 10, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reported.
The victim told deputies she may not have locked the door to the garage may not have been locked. Investigators found no evidence of forced entry, the report said.
As of Sept. 15, none of the items had been recovered, and no suspects had been identified, Sheriff’s Office spokesman Grant Bissell said. Anyone with information about the incident should call the Sheriff’s Office at 636-797-5515.
