Pet Spot: Winston the schnauzer kept on beret for a bit

Mary Antonacci of House Springs submitted a photo of her dog, Winston, for Pet Spot.

Winston wore this Girl Scout beret long enough for his owner, Mary Antonacci of House Springs, to snap a photo. He is a 5-year-old schnauzer.

“He only kept it on for a few minutes,” Antonacci said. “I got the beret from my great-niece during a Girl Scout cookie sale. It’s a beret for dogs.”

She said Winston is friendly around little girls.

“He’s friendly around all kids, really,” she said.

Winston can be quirky, Antonacci said.

“He’s stubborn,” she said. “He likes to play, but he doesn’t like to walk outside in the snow. If I take him out, he turns around and comes back inside.”

She said she inherited Winston from a family member.

“We got him when my aunt passed away,” Antonacci said. “He’s part of the family now.”
