Pet Spot: Goldendoodle Winston displays ‘stoner’ personality

Winston, a goldendoodle, has a “stoner” personality, said his owner, Leader intern Bailey Becker of House Springs.

Leader intern Bailey Becker of House Springs describes her 11-month-old goldendoodle Winston as easygoing.

“He kind of has a ‘stoner’ personality,” she joked. “He’s happy-go-lucky. He stares into space.”

He does not take criticism well.

“If you yell at him, he won’t look at you,” she said.

Winston enjoys gnawing, Becker said.

“He likes to chew things up,” she said. “He likes to shred his toys.”

Winston, who weighs 50 pounds, is far bigger than Becker’s other dog, Ollie, a 6-year-old Norwestie, a Norwich terrier and westie mix, she said.

“We have a smaller dog, Ollie. Winston bites his tail and will pick him up by his harness and will try to carry him around,” she said.

Winston became available when her family needed him, she said.

“He came to us at a special time,” Becker said. “Our beloved (dog) Molly died. He filled a space in our hearts.”
