Margi Jones of Hillsboro said her quarter horse, Cisco, is an amiable animal. Cisco is a 5-year-old gelding.
“We’ve had him since he was a year old,” Jones said. “We bought him out of Texas. He’s very friendly. He wants to be everybody’s friend. For the most part, he gets along with our other animals.”
She said Cisco has gained some fame.
“He’s got his own fan club. We barrel race and people follow him on Facebook.”
Jones said Cisco enjoys playing with her family’s other animals.
“He’s kind of like a kid. He’ll pester the other animals. With the horses, they’ll play-bite.”
She said Cisco is getting better at barrel racing.
“I’m the one who rides him,” she said. “He’s in the beginning of his career, but he’s starting to come along pretty well.”
