Lucky is one quirky pet, owner Molly LePage of De Soto said of her 5-year-old dog, apparently a mixed breed.
“We’re not sure of his breed,” she said. “There’s a lot of Lab in him.”
No matter, he often makes LePage scratch her head.
“He’s the strangest dog,” she said. “Most Labs like to swim and run and fetch. This is a lazy dog. He hates swimming. He doesn’t fetch. He has no idea what to do when you throw a ball. He just sits and looks at you.”
On the other hand, Lucky is affectionate.
“He just wants to be cuddled,” LePage said. “He wants to be petted all the time. He’s very friendly, just the sweetest dog on Earth.”
She said Lucky has learned to coexist with her family’s other pets.
“We also have two cats,” she said. “Lucky and the cats tolerate each other.”
Lucky is a valued member of the household, LePage said.
“He’s a really weird dog, but we love him,” she said. “We’re lucky to have him.”
