Leah Dilworth of Imperial said her family’s cat, Patches, is always looking for ways to escape the house.
“He gets himself into all kinds of mischief,” Dilworth said. “He used to be an outside cat before we got him, and he’s always trying to slip outside. I’ll put him on a leash outside.”
Patches, 11, is a large ragdoll-Maine coon mix, she said.
“He’s a big boy at 12 pounds,” Dilworth said.
Patches does not mind getting dirty.
“Being a boy like he is, he’s always playing in the dirt and getting himself dirty,” Dilworth said.
Patches is friendly with canines, but not fellow felines, she said.
“He gets along really well with dogs. He gets a little attitude if another cat comes along. He doesn’t like you to give attention to another cat.”
Patches gets along with humans, too.
“He’s very people-friendly,” Dilworth said.
