Festus Mayor Sam Richards presented a proclamation to Festus R-6 School District Superintendent Link Luttrell during the May 9 City Council meeting. According to the proclamation, May 11 was “Link Luttrell Day” in Festus.
Luttrell will retire at the end of the school year after working in the district for 14 years, the last nine as superintendent. He has taken a job as superintendent of Spring Hill USD 230 School District in Spring Hill, Kan., beginning July 1.
