A P’sghetti’s Pasta & Sandwiches restaurant is coming to Crystal City, the business owner recently announced.
Michael Brannan said he hopes to open the third location of the business at 101 S. Truman Blvd. in the building most recently occupied by Rich’s Frozen Custard. Prior to Rich’s, a Dairy Queen operated in the building for many years.
Brannan of St. Louis County said he would like to open the new P’sghetti’s by the end of the first quarter of 2025.
“It’s going to be late winter, early spring,” he said today, Dec. 2. “I’d say in March.”
The other two P’sghetti’s locations are 5447 S. Lindbergh Blvd., south St. Louis County and 932 Meramec Station Road, Valley Park.
“It’s kind of fast-casual,” Brannan said of P’sghetti’s. “We’ve been in business 37 years.”
He said he and his family took note of the growing Twin City area in choosing a new site for the business.
“That whole area is a growing area,” Brannan said. “We feel we’re a good fit for and as they grow, we want to grow with them. We’re excited to be there.”
Robert Sullivan, Crystal City’s building and planning director, said residents say the feeling is mutual.
“Most definitely,” Sullivan said. “We’ve heard quite a bit from callers who’ve heard they’re coming to Crystal City (and are looking forward to it).”
Brannan said the Crystal City location likely will hire “25 to 30 employees, a mixture of full- and part-time employees.”
The P’sghetti’s menu offers cold sandwiches such as the restaurant’s Original Sub (ham, salami, American cheese and lettuce) and Super Sub (roast beef, ham, salami, American cheese, Provel cheese and lettuce); hot sandwiches such as its Ham and Cheese Melt and Salsiccia (Italian sausage topped with meat sauce, Provel cheese and banana peppers; pastas including spaghetti, ravioli and mostaccioli; salads, soup, wraps and drinks.
Brannan points to P’sghetti’s bread as its specialty.
“We are known for our bread, a homemade sweet bread,” he said.
The restaurant’s hours of operation will be 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.
