Arby’s restaurants in Arnold, Eureka and Fenton, as well as 29 other locations throughout the greater St. Louis area and western Illinois, soon will have a new look.
The Flynn Restaurant Group, a Tulsa, Okla., company that owns 32 Arby’s franchises throughout the area, recently announced an $11.5 million renovation project that will be completed this year.
Sophia Morris, a spokeswoman for the company, said renovation work at the Arnold location, 224 Arnold Crossroads Center, is expected to start Feb. 21 and be completed March 12.
She said the Eureka location, 60 Hilltop Village Center Drive, is expected to be renovated from April 11-30, and the Fenton location, 1181 Gravois Road, will be renovated from April 25 through May 25.
The Flynn Group said the restaurant drive-thrus will remain open during the renovation projects, and locations under construction will offer buy-one, get-one-free deals for Arby’s classic roast beef sandwiches.
The company said the renovation projects will transform building exteriors and interiors with multi-colored wood materials, modern lighting and chalkboard graphics.
“Flynn Restaurant Group is constantly looking for ways to reinforce our commitment to the communities we serve, and we hope these remodels will be warmly received by our valued customers and employees in the western Illinois and eastern Missouri areas,” Randy Bates, vice president of marketing, said in a written statement. “As a local partner, we aim every day to provide our guests with the quality food and service they deserve while also investing in these communities through maintaining and creating jobs.”
The Flynn Group’s statement about the projects said the renovations will create more than 500 jobs throughout the area.
“We estimate after our remodel process is complete, we hope to add about 500 permanent jobs spanning our 32 remodeled locations across the area,” said Jennifer Breedlove, marketing manager for RB American, which is part of the Flynn Group. “With each remodel we expect our sales will grow, so in turn this provides us the opportunity to grow our teams at each restaurant. Not only do these remodels enhance the appearance of our restaurants, but we hope the fresh new look becomes a place where people want to work.”
