Bill and Quincy Myrick of House Springs, both Army veterans, have been married seven years.

Bill, 88, served from August 1954 through September 1956, most of his enlistment in Germany as part of the European occupation.

Quincy, 63, served from August 1976 through October 1980 and was stationed at Ft. Hood in Texas, Camp Casey in South Korea and Ft. Riley in Kansas.

“After being discharged from the Army, we both led very different lives,” Quincy said.

“It was by chance we met through the VFW in 2011. Bill was a longtime member of the Cedar Hill Post and I was a fairly new member of the De Soto Post. We had a friendly relationship that grew into a great love.”

The Myricks were married on Dec. 7, 2014, and are members of De Soto VFW Post 1831. They are dedicated to veteran issues and love to travel.
