The Jeffco Xpress 01 softball team, made up primarily of Jefferson County players, defeated the state champions from Nebraska, Colorado and Kansas to win the Babe Ruth 12-U Midwest Plains regional championship last week in Limon, Colo. The Xpress won the Missouri state championship three weeks ago in Sikeston. The team, coached by Bryan Wyman, Clay Moore and Craig Bone, has advanced to the Babe Ruth 12-U World Series this week in Gainesville, Fla.
