Seckman freshman Draegen Orine improved to 40-0 this season after he pinned Oak Park senior Tristan Supermaw in the 106-pound quarterfinals at the Class 4 state wrestling championships at Cable Dahmer Arena in Independence on Saturday.
With the quarterfinals still ongoing, Liberty leads the team competition with 75 points. The Jaguars are second with 49.
Also in the semifinals so far for Seckman are freshman Matthew Cook (113) and senior Devin Haag (120).
Northwest seniors Cannon Newhouse (152) and Johnny Daffron (195) are still in the winner’s bracket after Newhouse received a first-round bye and Daffron pinned Fort Zumwalt North senior Eddie Angelbeck in 27 seconds.
Fox senior Mason Petty pinned Francis Howell junior Judah Johnson in 46 seconds of their match at 285 in the first round.
