Anthony Michael Blucker, 31, of Pevely allegedly tried to throw away a bag containing methamphetamine while being arrested by a Pevely Police officer. He had been stopped for a traffic violation and was arrested on outstanding warrants, court documents show.
Blucker has been charged with possession of a controlled substance, a class D felony. However, due to being convicted of at least two prior felony drug charges, the possession charge is considered a class B felony and punishable by five to 15 years in prison, court records said.
Blucker was arrested on Oct. 25, and he was released on Oct. 29 from the Jefferson County Jail in Hillsboro on his own recognizance. He is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 24, according to court documents.
According to the case’s probable-cause statement, Blucker was stopped in the 600 block of Riverview Drive. The officer learned Blucker was wanted on outstanding warrants and arrested him.
While handcuffed, Blucker reached into his jacket, pulled out a container and threw it in front of the officer’s patrol vehicle. The container had a bag inside it that allegedly had a white crystal-like substance, a hypodermic needle and cotton swabs, the report said.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol identified the substance as meth, according to the report.
