In a 56-53 loss to Ladue on Jan. 8, Eureka senior Kate Hillyer scored a game-high 31 points to become the Wildcats’ career leading scorer in girls basketball. Hillyer has scored 1,609 points, eclipsing the mark of 1,605 set by Tiffany Stewart in 2001. This season, Hillyer is fifth in the St. Louis area averaging 22.5 points per game. She has scored 30 or more points three times this year.
