The junior has been the top runner on the Warriors since her freshman year. On Friday at the Ed White Warrior Invitational, Martin won with a time of 19:32.30, which was 2:46 faster than her time last year in the same race. Running on a 2.35 mile course, Martin won the Jackson Invitational on Aug. 26 and in the last three weeks she has won medals at the Stan Nelson Invitational (seventh place) and Festus Bowles Invitational (sixth).
